What to do when it rains in Concarneau?

Brittany is particularly wet at the moment and a few days of rain may also occur during your stay at our campsite during the season. What can you do to keep busy when you can't enjoy the beach or walks outside? Here's a selection of things to do indoors while you wait for the sun to return.

Not-to-be-missed museums

A number of museums in the Concarneau area embody the local culture and are open to visitors all year round. Here are just a few that are well worth a visit!

Musée de la Pêche à Concarneau The Fishing Museum

Concarneau and fishing are inextricably linked. The Musée de la Pêche is unique in its rich collection of maritime heritage. The history of fishing in Brittany and elsewhere, fishing techniques, canneries, boats... The museum has over 2,000 objects! Children are not forgotten either, with the "Carré des Mousses", an interactive discovery room.

The Pont-Aven Museum

This museum is devoted to the Pont-Aven School and local artistic life from the 1860s onwards. More than 4,500 works and documents are dedicated to the artists of the Pont-Aven School, including Paul Gauguin. Temporary exhibitions are also presented.

Château de Keriolet

Perched high above Concarneau, this jewel of 19th-century architecture tells the story of Princess Zénaïde Narischline-Youssoupov and her husband, Count Charles de Chauveau. A great family visit!
